On The Road Again...

It's weird how much I think in songs. But, really, a country song? Sheesh.

In all seriousness, Gabriel and I are again in a transitional time. (Oh, Lord, does it ever end?) Since my last post here we went back to Colorado for a time, then moved to Idaho to help a friend, things didn't work out there so we are now back in Texas. Gabe says maybe it's an endless frontier because no matter what all roads lead back to Texas. Oh man, I hope not. 

Anyway! Here we are. What are we doing, you may ask (or not, I'll tell you anyway). My folks just bought a house, and being as old and feeble as they are (LOL just kidding. This is a test to see if they love me enough to read my blog posts...) we are helping them pack up their rental, move into the new house, update as needed (some painting and landscaping and so forth), and get settled there. 

We hope to use this time to figure out our next step in regards to jobs and money and so on. We don't know exactly where we will live, but Texas is not our first choice (heh...). Sorry guys, but really, it's flipping hot. And when you come from someplace as beautiful as Colorado, and yes, even Idaho was naturally easy on the eyes, you get kind of depressed looking at what I affectionately dubbed "concrete city" (known to most as the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex). I do want to explore some other areas of Texas while we are here, it's such a big place you never know what you'll find. But we're just thinking, heck! If we can move anywhere, why not go to the beach! Just saying. You know you'd do the same.

So, only time will tell where we will end up. If our track record were any indication, probably some Bible school somewhere! But seriously, no. I'm hoping we can turn over a new leaf. Actually, I'll take a whole new tree.
